Direct Telephone Booking
We operate a 48 Hour Free of Charge cancellation policy to all residents, who have already made a booking with us. This means you can cancel your booking without charge up until 48 before you are due to arrive. Failure to cancel a booking, or if you are a NO SHOW means the entire fee due will be charged to your card.
When you cancel a booking you will be given a Cancellation number. Refunds due as a result of a any cancellation will only be given on producing a valid cancellation number.
Bookings made online are Non Cancellable and/or Non Refundable subject to terms and conditions of your booking.
Upon arrival you will be advised of your Payment Instructions. If you have booked with both a Agent or Direct you will need to pay upon arrival. Please return your Keys to reception and ask to confirm that you have no outstanding charges for hospitality. Providing your Card details is not acceptance of payment. Its fraud to charge a card without the customer’s input with their pin number, or contactless signature.
Check In Arrangements
For Bed & Breakfast bookings you can check into your room anytime between 17:00 and 21:00. If you think you will need to arrive earlier than 17:00 you must contact The Highwayman on 01865-377388 to make arrangements for a early arrival.
Breakfast is available to book upon arrival and is valued at £8.00 per person, per night and will need to be booked and paid before the bar closes on the night before you require breakfast
The check out time is 10:00 Please return your keys at this time and make your payment. if you would like this to be extended or wish us to look after your luggage until later in the day.
We operate a No Smoking policy throughout the hotel and in all the enclosed public areas and facilities. You can smoke outside the building in any area that ashtrays are provided. Smoking out of windows is not permitted. You may be charged for cleaning if you smoke in your room.
Our car park is monitored by 24 hour CCTV; our car park is private and available to all residents and patrons.
We offer free Car Parking but we do not accept any liability for theft or damage to vehicles or passengers, goods / belongings while in the Car Park.
Lunches and evening meals are served in the bar, between the hours of :-
Monday to Saturday 12:00 - 15:00 pm then 17:00 - 20:00 pm
Sundays the kitchen is open until 16:00
We offer a flexible and imaginative food service, covering all dietary requirements. Our chef is always on hand should you have any questions or requests
Pub & Guest Facilities
Our public bar offers traditional cask ales, keg beers, fine wines and spirits. We are also open all day for the sale of Fresh Coffee and Tea.
We have a children's play area (unsupervised) which is available to all children as long as they are supervised by an adult. Utilisation of these facilities are at your own risk. We can not be held liable for personal injury accidents or damage to customer’s children or their property.
Hairdryers, Washing and Ironing facilities are all available upon request.
Dogs are allowed in all public areas of The Highwayman Hotel but must be kept on a leash at all times. Please do not let your pets upset the Ducks and other wild life that reside on the premises.
Fishing from the canal bank is available to residents only, with the agreement of the management.

WiFi & Free Internet Access
Internet is freely available throughout the building via a wireless connection The password word for this is simply -
Incoming callers requesting a guest should be directed to the Reception desk on 01865-377388 when we shall take a message.
Lastly, in the event of a fire please activate the fire alarm, and vacate the premises at the earliest possible opportunity. Please raise the alarm by calling the fire brigade. The fire assembly point is within the car park. Residents will be advised of any fire drill or testing of the audible alarm.
When it comes to reviews, we find them to be absolutely vital part of our business, it may well be you that has to depend on how we act or respond to any review. Hence we would like all guests to leave a review, if you would consider this, then please do so as we appreciate your opinion on all of our services we have provided during your stay.
However, concerning negative views, we do like to hear it from the person instead of written or online, the reason behind this is to try and get a full description of the problem so then it can be investigated, and addressed. There is little that can be put right for you after the event. The management will then take appropriate action where and when needed.
